Honda Aircraft Receives Japan Civil Aviation Bureau Approval
BizavNews has learned that Honda Aircraft has received approval from the Japan Civil Aviation Bureau (JCAB) for its updated model, the HondaJet Elite. The validation work took six months, during which time the company was able to sell more than ten cars to Japanese customers through its HondaJet Japan dealer. The first deliveries are planned by the end of this year.
Honda Aircraft also announced that the HondaJet and HondaJet Elite have received type certifications from the General Directorate of Civil Aviation of India (DGCA). The HondaJet has many certifications worldwide, including the United States (Federal Aviation Administration), Europe (European Aviation Safety Agency), Mexico (Directorate General of Civil Aviation), Canada (Canadian Aviation Authority), Brazil (National Civil Aviation Agency) Argentina (National Civil Aviation Council) and Panama (Panama Aviation Authority). The latest Honda Aircraft, the HondaJet Elite, is also certified in the US and Europe.
In May, at the European Business Aviation Exhibition EVACE 2018, Honda Aircraft Company presented a modernized version of the light aircraft, which was named HondaJet Elite. BizavNews has carefully reviewed the new aircraft. So, the HondaJet Elite has received an increased flight range by 17% (+396 km) and is equipped with a newly developed noise-absorbing air intake, which can significantly reduce the frequency noise of the engines, improving noise insulation in the cabin. In addition, the new aircraft's advanced avionics system includes additional performance management features for optimal flight planning, as well as automatic stabilization and protection features to enhance flight safety.
Mr. Fujino personally introduced the aircraft at the event. “The HondaJet Elite represents Honda Aircraft's continued commitment to performance, efficiency and the environment, creating new value in business aviation. As a result of innovation, design and engineering, our new aircraft features several performance and comfort improvements that once again set a new standard in aviation. We are delighted to share with the world Honda Aircraft's latest technology approach. ”
The HondaJet Elite inherits the aviation breakthroughs developed by Honda Aircraft, including natural laminar flow (NLF) technology and composite fuselage. The aircraft continues to be the most efficient, quietest, fastest and longest flight in its category.
Recall that HondaJet is actively promoted to the Russian market by the Aim of Emperor group of companies, which is a dealer of this aircraft. Within the framework of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, which took place from May 24 to May 26, a HondaJet plane flew to Pulkovo-3, and the Aim of Emperor / HondaJet stand was operating at the forum itself.
Key features of the HondaJet Elite:
- Range: 2661 km. This makes the aircraft the longest aircraft in its class.
- Sound-absorbing engine air intake
- Performance Management: Provides optimization in all phases of flight such as cruising speed / altitude, fuel consumption, etc.
- Takeoff / Landing Control (TOLD): Automatically calculates required runway length, speeds, climb and descent gradients for landing.
- AFCS Coupled Go-Around with underspeed protection: the aircraft autopilot remains on, increasing aircraft safety and reducing pilot workload
- New colors for the exterior of the aircraft with a red signature scheme: the three main signature paints, Ice Blue / Ruby Red / Monarch Orange
- Bongiovi Audio System: The industry's first speaker-free cabin speaker system that delivers immersive audio throughout the cabin
