Since the beginning of the year, customers have received 25 cars

As it became known to BizavNews, Honda Aircraft delivered eight HondaJet aircraft (mostly in the Elite version) to customers in the third quarter of this year. The total cost of all delivered machines is estimated at $ 39.9 million. In the first nine months of 2019, customers received a total of 25 business jets for $ 124.69 million.

According to a report from the GAMA (General Aviation Manufacturers Association), the HondaJet once again became the most delivered business jet in its class (VLJ – very light jet) in 2018. At the end of the year, Honda Aircraft delivered 37 aircraft to customers around the world. It is noteworthy that a year earlier, HondaJet also topped the rating in the class of ultralight business jets.

There are now 145 HondaJet aircraft in operation in the world. The total flight time has exceeded 40,000 hours, and the reliability factor is 99.7%. According to Honda Aircraft President and CEO Michimas Fujino, this is the first aircraft for 25% of aircraft buyers. He also spoke about investments in infrastructure. “In July of this year, the groundbreaking ceremony took place for the new fender shop at Honda Aircraft's Greensboro plant. A new spare parts warehouse will also be built here. The facility is scheduled to open in July next year, and the investment amounted to $ 15.5 million (the area of the new facility is 7700 sq. M.). The total investment in infrastructure facilities already exceeds $ 245 million. Our new production hall will allow the company to significantly increase production efficiency. As the popularity and presence of HondaJet continues to grow globally, we need new manufacturing facilities that can reduce the time it takes to assemble aircraft on the one hand and reduce the risk of working with subcontractors. “

Honda Aircraft currently employs 1,500 people in North Carolina, and as the company ramps up the HondaJet assembly line from four to five planes a month, Fujino hopes to increase the number of employees.

The company's new investment has generated a positive reaction from local officials. For example, North Carolina Senator Tom Tillis noted that Honda Aircraft has invested millions of dollars and created thousands of jobs in Greensboro County, which is a significant positive factor for the locals who now form the backbone of the plant. “Honda Aircraft is a prime example of a company that is taking advantage of its North Carolina business with certain bonuses in the form of tax breaks.”

As a reminder, in Russia and the CIS countries, sales of the HondaJet have been open since July 2016. AIM OF EMPEROR is a diversified group of companies that is a dealer of HondaJet aircraft (Authorized Sales Representative of HondaJet Central Europe in Russia and CIS), which sells the latest innovative Japanese business jet to the Russian and CIS markets. The AIM OF EMPEROR Group is also accepting applications for the updated version of the HondaJet Elite.
