The plane will be operated by a private owner
BizavNews has learned that Honda Aircraft has delivered the first business jet HondaJet (HA-420 HondaJet) to Brazil, which will be operated in the interests of a private owner. Last year, the company handed over 43 aircraft to customers for a total of $ 209.3 million. The manufacturer currently has certificates such as FAA, EASA, Brazil, Canada and Mexico, and the approval of the Chinese aviation authorities is on the way.
Honda Aircraft plans to ramp up production of its HA-420 HondaJet business jet to 80 aircraft per year by mid-2019, the company's president and CEO Machimasa Fujino said earlier. “By the end of Honda's fiscal year 2018, which ends in March 2019, we would like to achieve full production capacity of around 80 aircraft,” he said. In May of this year, Honda Aircraft presented an upgraded version of the light aircraft called the HondaJet Elite.
The HondaJet was the first aircraft in Japan to be fully developed by a private company without government support. Its first flight tests took place in the summer of 2014 in the US state of North Carolina, where a division of Honda Aircraft is based. The HondaJet can accommodate up to 6 passengers and is certified to operate one pilot. Despite its small size, the aircraft develops a cruising speed of up to 422 knots (777 km / h) with a practical flight range of over 2,200 km. Of particular interest are the over-wing HondaJet engines, which increase luggage space, reduce cabin noise, especially during takeoff and landing, and reduce drag.
At the end of 2017, the company became the first in the world in terms of sales in the class of light business jets. Recall that in Russia the interests of Honda Aircraft are represented by the group of companies Aim of Emperor, which has the status of Sales Representative of Honda Jet Central Europe, an authorized dealer of Honda Aircraft.
