The company will build two state-of-the-art FBOs in Hawaii next year.
Hawaii business aviation service provider Air Service Hawaii is announcing the construction of two state-of-the-art FBOs next year. At Lihue Airport, Air Service Hawaii is completely redeveloping a private terminal, building a state-of-the-art business aviation center with a hangar, a parking lot and a refueling complex. An office building will also appear here.
As the company told BizavNews, the most important construction is planned at the Allison Onizuka Kona International Airport in Keahola, on the Big Island. There will be two separate terminals, one of which is intended for regular private flights, and the other for servicing charter flights on high-capacity aircraft. All work will be completed in January. Later, in May, a hangar with an area of 3530 sq.m. will be put into operation here. For the first time in Hawaii, the FBO will have an in-flight catering facility operated by Pacific Inflight. The new FBO is expected to serve Kaiser Air's “Kona Shuttle” luxury charters. A unique comfortable VIP-hall with “living walls” of exotic plants awaits passengers waiting for their flight.
Business aviation on the islands has been dynamically developing lately. The latest prime example was the delivery of the first two HondaJet Elite aircraft to Hawaii for the new operator, Wing Spirit. Wing Spirit plans to use new aircraft to transport between the islands.
