Four months after receiving the Chinese type certificate, the first HondaJet Elite was delivered to the Celestial Empire. The aircraft was ordered by the Chinese dealer of Honda Aircraft – Honsan General Aviation. The aircraft will be based at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport. In 2017, Honda Aircraft expanded its presence in China through a partnership with Honsan General Aviation, which provides sales, service and support for HondaJet in the country, including Hong Kong and Macau.
“Since we came to China, we have received several orders and have prioritized sales throughout China. We will continue to contribute to the business aviation market with the HondaJet, ”said Michimasa Fujino, President and CEO of Honda Aircraft. “We are delighted that our customers will soon be able to receive their aircraft and are confident that the HondaJet Elite will provide them with more efficient and comfortable travel.”
Honsan General Aviation CEO Dr. Cheng Qian added, “The HondaJet Elite is now certified in China and we are delighted to begin delivering aircraft to our Chinese customers. The market has reached a turning point here and I believe the HondaJet will revitalize the aviation business. ”
In May last year, at the European Business Aviation Exhibition EVACE 2018, the Honda Aircraft Company presented a modernized version of the light aircraft, which was named the HondaJet Elite. The updated aircraft received an increased flight range by 17% (+396 km) and is equipped with a newly developed noise-absorbing air intake, which can significantly reduce the frequency noise of the engines, improving noise insulation in the cabin. In addition, the new aircraft's advanced avionics system includes additional performance management features for optimal flight planning, as well as automatic stabilization and protection features to enhance flight safety.
The HondaJet Elite inherits the aviation breakthroughs developed by Honda Aircraft, including natural laminar flow (NLF) technology and composite fuselage. The aircraft continues to be the most efficient, quietest, fastest and longest flight in its category.
Currently, 33 HondaJet Elite are in operation in the world, another 52 machines have been ordered. The rest of the HondaJet models are original.
