Lightweight twin-engine business jet delivered to an undisclosed US customer
Honda Aircraft has begun deliveries of the new HondaJet Elite. A lightweight twin-engine business jet registered as N112HM was delivered to an undisclosed US customer.
Announced at EBACE 2018 in May, the HondaJet Elite features a 17% increased range (+ 396 km) and a newly developed noise-dampening air intake that significantly reduces engine frequency noise while improving cabin noise insulation. In addition, the new aircraft's advanced avionics system includes additional performance management features for optimal flight planning, as well as automatic stabilization and protection features to enhance flight safety. The new model has already been certified by FAA and EASA.
“We are proud to announce that deliveries of the HondaJet Elite have begun,” said Michimasa Fujino, President and CEO of Honda Aircraft. “We are delighted that the market launch of the HondaJet Elite has been very positively received around the world. We are also pleased to announce that since our arrival in Japan in June 2018, more than 10 orders have been placed here. Deliveries to Japan will begin after receiving certification from the Japan Civil Aviation Bureau early next year. ”
Meanwhile, the company said it delivered 17 HondaJets to customers in the first six months, up from 24 in the same period last year.
